I have eaten at Eleven Abingdon Road frequently, and have recommended this restaurant to friends, who have also much enjoyed dining here.
In my view the cooking is consistently good and has flair - not only every meal I have eaten here, but every course, has been a pleasure. I think I know fairly well every credible restaurant in Kensington, in all but the top price bracket (the latter being US lawyer / investment banker territory with an edgy ambience - nothing but deals boasted about over dinner...), so I feel that it is worth my commending this restaurant given that I so often prefer it for a special night out over its many rivals.
Often I am torn between three of four of the starters, all of which I know will much please me. One could easily pay at least twice the price for a meal in several hyped venues in Mayfair for food which would be no finer and which would probably be less consistent in quality. The cocktails are excellent - they mix a mean margarita!
The tables are generously spaced, so one is not troubled by neighbours.
I also rate the service highly - the waiters genuinely want their customers to enjoy their visit, and aim for the highest standards.
All in all I disagree other assessments on your site, and warmly recommend Eleven Abingdon Road.
