The Grange Pub and Dining Room

Met friends who were over from Oz ( and staying nearby ) at the Grange last night . Lovely decor and great music and the outside area looked good for summer--if it ever arrives !! Lovely to be on the edge of the Common too BUT........

the food was awful !!!

Not a great deal of choice compared to most pubs these days, overpriced compared to other similar pubs in our local area ( Staines , Ashford , Englefield Green etc ) and the portions were stingy and not particularly tasty !! :-(

The "chips" that were on the menu turned out to be around 5 or 6 fattish jacket wedges only--in my case hidden under a small piece of fish next to a tablespoon of tiny peas !!! :-(

All four of us came out as hungry as we went in feeling we'd been "had " !!

No wonder there were hardly any diners in !!!

Such a shame at such an attractive looking pub !!
