Signor Sassi

We went to Signor Sassi on a Saturday night on the basis of the good reviews received on this website. I'm afraid our experience was not great however. We reserved a table for two, a few days in advance. We were shown to a table near a larger table set for 9 people

We were seated at the table 15 minutes before the large birthday party arrived .It took 10 minutes before we were asked for drinks and we had to ask to give our order. We received our starters about 30 minutes after ordering and then waited 70 minutes with no sigh of the main course. Even though arriving 15 mins after us everyone at the table of 9 had received their main courses and ours was noone to be seen. Even though the waiter had to walk past our table every time he served the party of 9 he made no attempt to check up on our meal - we had to ask and then was told there was a delay because they were busy! Cleary this is a good restaurant if you are a favoured customer but pretty hit and miss if you are not.

We had a bizarre experience - in a strange way it was as if we were invisible all night. It wasn't that the service was bad it was simply as if they rated everyone else higher than us. I am currently workikng for a large bank sourcing restaurants that our bankers can take clients - don't think I will take a chance on such an inconsistent and arrogant restaurant like this.
