We booked at table for the evening for 11 people and quite honestly not a single person was impressed. Let’s look at the four areas:
Food: The food was mediocre, steaks were not cooked to the requirements requested for most people in the group. One person summed it up as “good pub food”.
Service: Slow, very slow. The whole “experience took 2 ½ hours. Most people were itching to go. The staff seemed rushed off their feet and were not that friendly. Two of the deserts were not available.
Value for money: Very poor, expensive and food not that good. None of us will be going back.

Disappointing. Went to this restaurant for an evening meal with a friend who is German. Both of us agreed on the following:
The atmosphere of the place was ok and if you wanted to drink loads of beer then I guess it would be fun however the food was ok ish. The desearts appeared to be frozen and certainly not "typical".
Be ready for it to be very loud as any noise reverberates from the low sealings.
Staff were friendly. Has a huge amount of room for improvement.

Food 2 | Service 7 | Atmosphere 8 | Value for money 4
This is one of the restaurants I take clients to regularly for the simple reason that they all enjoy it and the service is good.
I can only think of one time where they messed up and that was when they burnt the gilled lobster and also burnt the grilled steak. The person in charge in the kitchen was obviously not on the ball that day and at the price they should be.
The above problem only happened once. Every other time the food has been spot on, the deserts very good and the recommended wine perfect.
If you are not concerned about the price then I can recommend it, especially the Gaucho sampler on the menu.

All in all very disappointing especially when you are treating customers and it ends up reflecting poorly on you. I will not be going back. Lets look at the four areas:
Food: There was at least four main items on the menu that were not available, this was not outlined before we ordered, most likely due to the fact that the list would have been too long if they had. The food when it did arrive was ok.
Service: Slow, very slow. I had to ask for an extra bottle of water three times before it arrived and it was very hard to get the attention of the staff. The sauces for the meat did not arrive and had to be re-ordered.
Atmosphere: Ok, but lift was out of order.
Value for money: I found the whole experience stressful and unpleasant as I had to constantly check that my customers were OK when that should have been the job of the staff. All in all I would say it was poor value as the experience was poor.

Reliably good food and very attentive service.
This is one of the very limited restaurant list that I take clients to, for the simple reason that I know that the food will be good, the service attentive and the overall experience excellent.
Every single one of my clients has enjoyed the food there and are always very happy to go back there even when I provide them with different options.
I am one of the most picky and demanding people when it comes to complaining about service or quality and I find it incredibly embarrassing when I take clients to a restaurant and it is not up to standard. It reflects badly on me and I will simply not go back if they let me down.
There are so many poor or mediocre restaurants in London. This is certainly not one of them.
