Terra

I went here after seeing all the good reviews on here. Maybe my expectations were to high but I was a little disappointed. I did have a lovely evening but probably would not return.

I went here with my partner for his birthday. The table was set up with balloons which was really nice. And at the end a piece of cake with a candle was brought out....nice cake too.

The waitress we had was excellent but I was not blown away by the food. We had 3 starters: The tiger prawns starter was ok but prawns were too small, the Halloumi and tomato starter was also quite nice,The chargrilled goats cheese was very good though!

For main course we had the lamb burgers and chicken and Halloumi skewers. We both aggreed The chicken was the nicer of the two, but the garlic sauce it was in was not garlic enough for me. We spent £83 for 3 starters, 2 mains, 3 bottles of wine and 2 liquors.

The Soho Bar

Booked an area here. The Mosaic Aquamarina that is supposed to seat 15+ people comfortably......not quite.

We all had a very good time as the main focus was to drink not eat. The service and atmosphere was good. Ordered the Metro platter to share but it was not very nice. The cheese garlic bread was soft and the cheese tasted off. The wedges were not cooked properly. You don't expect too much with these sorts of platters but it is not hard to get it right!

Overall though it was a good night just wouldn't recomment the food.

West End Kitchen

I love this place!! Have been going here for years and have never been disappointed. Not fine dining at all just a casual, cheap place with very quick service! The service is nothing special but never any complaints. I think they have 2 or 3 wines on the menu but they are very nice, even the house wines are fine.

Nice selection of starters (Mozarella in Carozza is always nice £2 i think) and main meals are always a very decent size!

So much better then the The Stockpot, which it is often compared to.

Star of India

I have been here a few times now as it is close to home. The service has always been decent. The food has also always been decent, nothing special but good enough to return.

Hare and Tortoise Noodle Bar

I used to work close by and have been here about 5 times. I have never had any problems at all. The place does get very busy and you may have to queue to get in. The main attraction of this place is cheap but really nice food served quickly. The service is nothing special and is never particularly friendly but besides that I would definately recommend a visit!

Da Mario (Covent Garden)

I have been here twice now and both times have been a great experience. It is a small place so you need to book. Even though it is small the tables are not squashed together.

The service has always been good, attentive but not too much. Great italian food and if you are on a budget the house red is perfectly fine! Will return again.
