I have previously reviewed this restaurant back in the early days and I am delighted that this place has continued to evolve over the years.
It has continued to delivered exceptional food and every time I try something new I am amazed at the quality and flavours!
Recently went their with my sister who too is an avid fan. Well done Mango Tree for continuing to be so wonderful.
Brilliant food at very reasonable prices with lovely staff!

Food 10 | Service 10 | Atmosphere 10 | Value for money 10
Dined at Benares last night in celebrate of my friends 40th Birthday.
The greeting was warm and sincere and we were made to feel welcome quickly.
The cocktails are wonderful, tried the signature 'passion Fruit Chutney Martini' which is raved about so much and I wasn't disapointed.
As there were seven of us we had the grazing menu with accompanying wines. This was divine from start to finish. They were accomodating in the non-fish eater in replacing those dishes with the veggie option - all was superb!
The braised mutton (lamb) I have to say was the highlight...braised for 24 hours this was the most delicious dish ever...
The service was top class, the Sommeliers knew their stuff and the food simply exceptional....only let down a little by the longer than expected wait for the dessert course which resulted in friends having to leave to catch their train.
I cannot wait to come back, just thinking now of an excuse! Not cheap, but you pay for what you get...this isn't your average Indian meal so don't expect it!
Thank you for a lovely evening.

Food 10 | Service 10 | Atmosphere 8 | Value for money 8
Surprised at some of the other diners comments here and can only think that Constancia have listened and rectified any problems.
We dined here on a Tuesday evening, you would think that it would be empty - wrong. We arrived around 8.30pm to only find a couple of empty tables in albeit a small establishment.
Attentive server who was kind enough to advise against having two portions of chips to accompany our meal, explaining the portions were rather large! Again, appreciated the servers advise regarding the wine, we had opted for the 'house' red which at £14ish thought reasonable. Whilst the one on the menu wasn't available the recommended substitute was great and offered at the same price.
The traditional little pasties are a perfect way to start - full of obviously fresh ingredients and light pastry. A good selection of steaks to suit anyones appetite and cooked to perfection!
If you can manage a dessert - the Don Pedro is wonderful (if you like whiskey)...a large measure swimming around the ice cream, walnuts and chocolate sauce.
Overall, whilst not the cheapest steak, well worth the price tag. By the time we left there was no free tables - amazing on a weekday evening.
Lovely meal - I will be back very soon.
