Khan's of Kensington
Delicious typical Indian food in an old-world chic dining room (the palm tree columns are a great touch!). The best part is it's great value for money and there's plenty of space to accomodate groups of friends or families. This is one of my favorites, I'd also recommend the Sartaj Balti house.

Luna Rossa
When it's a good night, Luna Rossa makes some of the best pizza in town. They serve it on a large wooden board with each person's toppings claiming their section of the pizza.
The first time I came here it was wonderful and impressive but in subsequent times I've been less thrilled. The restaurant is often hot and the back room is especially cramped and noisy.

Luc's Brasserie
I came here for dinner on a weekday night and it was a good, solid choice. The atmosphere is very calm and I liked the way that most second floor tables look out on the market. The food was pretty good all-around, and prices seemed fair with a decent amount of selection. Service was pleasant and attentive.

Gaylord Restaurant
I also had a terrible experience with the service here. It was a relatively busy night, Friday at about 9pm. Our table of six people ordered within about 20 minutes. Another 30 minutes went by and we hadn't seen the appetizers yet. We were sitting right next to the kitchen, but every time we tried to get a waiter's attention he would look away. After waiting about an hour, maybe more- two appetizers came out. The waiter told us to share these because the food was still not ready. We didn't end up eating until about 10:30pm. Such a disaster. The food was edible, but the service really ruined the evening.
