Thai Dream

Visited for 1st time on a Friday night - we had reserved for 4 people but there was no need because the place was almost empty. The meal was good, with friendly & prompt service, and reasonably priced. Unlike many Thai eateries, which are more like cafeterias, this has a proper restaurant feel. We'll definitely be going back.

Mango Tree

Went in spring - won't be going back!

Six of us went. We were on time but the dinner slot we had was so rushed we could not eat desert and had to have our coffee back in the bar because our table was booked out to other diners. The noise level was appalling - it was almost impossible to hold a conversation. And the other tables were too close.

The food was fine - no complaints.

Karaam Restaurant

Went for the first time on Saturday 23 August - it will be the first of many visits. Excellent food, friendly service, clean loos + not expensive!

Cardamom

Live very close and visit Cardamom fairly often. I prefer Zayka's food for a takeaway, but definitely prefer Cardamom as a venue to eat out. Up-market Indian food - not full of artificial colourings! Nice clean modern decor. I've always found the service reliable and friendly.

Joie de Vivre Mediterranean Cafe

Lovely restaurant. Very friendly. They opened specially on boxing day for a family party to celebrate my mother's 81st birthday. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is homely and informal so you might not choose it for a romantic candlelit dinner, and I don't think I'd take toddlers! Thoroughly recommended for everyone else.
