Big Easy (King's Rd)

Once again Big Easy have done it again, yet another superb night out with a get buzz going on with the live band.

My friends and I loved the tasty food selection of food, great seafood platter starter, loved my ribs with fries and my goodness I don't think I've ever been to a place that serves a whote crab that size!!!

Top marks to the chef you certainly ensured nothing was left out and satified 8 hungry diners!

Every time I come here I am never let down with the service and glad to see staff actually enjoy working there, it does make a difference in the overall service!

I do have to point out to previous reviewer Stephen H, you don't know what you're talking about. Having lived in the states for 3 years and visited New Orleans on several occasions The Big Easy is slice of what to expect from a good ol' crab shack you'll find in the deep south and laugh at your comments on only serving bottled beers, bless.

Overall it's a top place for a good night out, just the right atmosphere to unwind with some friends, and indulge on some hearty US food.

I will be back soon!!

Big Easy (King's Rd)

Having read about this restaurant and the reviews on the website I had to check this place out. Having booked a table for a friend’s birthday, two of which were American, last Saturday I have got to say it was probably the most fun restaurant I’ve been to for a while…

Though the place was extremely busy and buzzing with guests, the staff were very accommodating and nothing seemed to be too much for them.

Also I really liked the hearty selection of dishes to choose from and a very good wine list, which was a pleasantly surprise to see. Whilst my friends opted for BBQ Blow-out I had to try their 1-kilo steak and lobster combo… Now if you've got a big appetite you won’t be disappointed here… It was absolutely delicious and I couldn’t even get through half of it!

In all a super night out and topped by the fact there was live entertainment!

A must and will be back soon!

Clos Maggiore

This has got to be one of the best restaurants in London! Having booked a table for two a month in advance, upon recommendation from a friend, I was looking to take my girlfriend out for a very special evening... and it certainly was. After running late by 10 minutes we were met with a very warm and courteous welcome by the hostess. Taking our seats in the conservatory, which was beautifully decorated with apple blossom, arched mirrors and soft candlelight, we indulged on a glass of very good Pannier champagne. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient offering advice when we were stuck on some of the descriptions on the menu. Also I must add that I do like their very prompt and unassuming service, i.e. no unnecessary topping up of wine which drives me mad in lots of restaurants and I never had to turn my head once to ask for anything, so altogether quite a natural and very high standard of service. With regards to our food, we found the starters delicious and a delight of flavours, for any seafood lovers I would recommend the Dorset crab. The main course was a real treat; a very succulent duck and my girlfriend found her potato gnocchi perfect and like the way they served our side orders too in rustic miniature saucepans Overall it was a wonderful dining experience and I struggle to find anything bad to say about Maggiores everything was just perfect on the night and anyone looking for a very special dining experience with the romantic atmosphere take note, Maggiores is the place to visit. The Real Greek (Putney)

Having been to The Real Greek in Hoxton for company staff party I checked out their place in Putney before going to the cinema with some friends from Putney. What a great restaurant! Simlilar to Hoxton's but much more informal and modern looking, we all tucked in to a fair selection of the meze/tapas dishes and meats on offer, tasty stuff, particularly the taramasalata and fava, and not bad for the price. It was also nice to eat real BBQ'd meats too in Winter and the Souvlaki were quite filling too, loved sausage one - sorry forgot the name. Very good wine list, different from the run of the mill Greek places in London, I'd certainly recommend their house wine.

Liked the style of the place with very friendly service, intitmate lighting and a nice atmosphere. Did gets quite busy on a Saturday night, so lucky were lucky we booked ahead!

Will definately recommend this place to anyone with a love for Greek cuisine!

Almost forgot to mention, received a tag for free bottle of wine - nice idea - so will back again soon.
