I am absolutely astonished at the reader's below review, clearly they have no idea about food. I have eaten at this restaurant on numerous occasions over the last two years and on every occasion the food has been inspiring, the presentation exceptional and the overall flavours superb. This is not a concept restaurant whose food merely looks good on the plate, they really can deliver.
Most recently I ate the scallops which were plump, juicy and meaty. The venison as a main course was outstanding, pink succulent meat with a great sauce, impeccabley presented. I opted for the cheeseplate which is always served by knowledgable staff and my boyfriend sampled the choclate dessert which was a perfect end to a perfect meal. I eat out a lot both for business and pleasure, and despite the fact that Patterson's is a lot cheaper then many of its counterparts, it always delivers superior food. I sincerely hope that this family restaurant gets the recognition which it deserves in the form of a Michelin star very soon
