I have been coming back to the Hing Loon for a number of years.
For simple tasty Chinese food on a tight budget, you won't find better in Chinatown.
Try the Roast Duck or Barbecued Pork, Singapore Noodles, Pak Choi in garlic, or the plate of mixed veg or meat on fried noodles. Most dishes can be under a fiver if you order them on rice or noodles and there's enough of a portion to share. So double up on them.
It's not grand but it is tasty and the staff are polite, unlike some more notorious Chinese Restaurants round here.
One tip- steer clear of the set menu - if you want a buffet to gorge yourself there are cheaper ones round the corner but they are sludgy. Stick to straight forward dishes and enjoy!
