Bistro One Ninety
So dissappointing. Went after the Cirque de Soleil on a Saturday night. It was a birthday party which I had mentioned when booking. The restaurant was almost empty, but we were stuck in a corner. I had a starter of sardines. One small sardine without head or tail, stuck on top of a slice of soggy French bread, which was then stuck on top of a bit of salad. Loin of pork which was completely school food, and then chocolate cheesecake which tasted as if it was made from a packet mix. Miserable portions. Expensive wine. Lovely waiter. Desperately overpriced. I certainly would not recommend this restaurant. Such a shame, I remember it under AWT as being a terrific place with a real buzz.

FLASH
Loved the place, and especially the teapot!! I went in a party of six, we all chose different starters, main courses and puddings, and not one disappointed. Delicious ceviche (which is so often watery) guinea fowl the best ever and I finished with the fig and raspberry pudding. We all tasted eachothers, and agreed that it was a memorable dinner . Congratulations to the Flash team, and especially the chef. We all vowed to revisit before closing time!

Frankie’s at Criterion
Beautiful restaurant, very mediocre food. I had the mushrooms on French toast, and honestly couldn't eat it. Soggy, greasy, not good at all. Big slab of calve's liver on a mountain of mash with a large dollop of soggy spinach. Sort of reminded me of school dinners.
