Green Door Bar & Grill

Afraid to say I didnt much rate this place. Steak was good - but my lobster was tough - overcooked - and no doubt frozen. I was also unimpressed by the Steak Cupboard or whatever they call it - extra premium 28 day mature blah blah - this should be the minimum standard for any decent steak house, not a charge you more gimmick.

Service was poor, place was devoid of atmosphere and I wont be rushing back.

Boisdale of Bishopsgate

Contrary to most of the reviews on here, I actually had a very pleasent meal, good wine and excellent service. Sure its pricey and yes the decor is a little garish, but thats part of the charm.

If you want cheap and quick go next door to KFC, if you want good steak and a good atmosphere you could do a lot worse than go here.

Although - having said all of that, I still prefer the Gaucho over the road for the food.
