Bodean's (Soho)
Great for comfort food, especially after rolling out of Lucky Voice Karaoke over the road! I've only eaten downstairs in the main restaurant - there's a sports theme going on - big screens showing baseball but it's not intrusive. Laid back friendly service. Great ribs and sauces, lovely cocktails, super chips! Don't like the liquid cheese on the Nachos though!

Balans (Soho)
Balans is a favourite of mine - buzzy atmosphere - predominently gay clientel - but all welcome. I love the Thai chicken curry here. The Duck Spring roll starter is pretty good too. Salmon not too hot on. Great Banofee pie. Cocktals are very reasonably priced!

The Mercer Restaurant & Bar
Traditional British fare is served here - I've been twice and thoroughly enjoyed it! The bar serves excellent cocktails. I've had the Seabass with Lentils which was excellent and the Mercer pie - good comfort food. Loved the Eve's pudding! Great wine and good advice. Lovely fudge with coffee! Not cheap though!

St Pancras Grand
I love St Pancras station! It's everything a station should be and no McDonalds! This restaurant is run by the same folks as the Champagne bar so i was expecting it to be upmarket and wasn't disapointed. Inside they've gone for a an Art Deco look which is pretty good apart from the glass panels - should be frosted and etched. Started with a lovely glass of house champagne - I had the Braised Beef with Medieval spices! Lovely and the sherry trifle dessert was gorgeous - although I couldnt taste the sherry! Service a little snooty! Not cheap!

Tiffinbites (Moorgate)
I love vegetable samosas so tried one at this branch recently - not impressed as it was microwaved - not at all crispy! The meat here is religiously slaughtered, so only suitable for those who have to eat it as part of their faith.
