Went here last Friday and dined with partner and two friends in the Picasso dining room. Expected exquisite food but was disappointed. I think sometimes you go to a famous name restaurant and it turns out to be a tourist attraction were you get ripped off. Anyway, very pleasant dining room with nice attentive staff, perhaps a bit too attentive as they kept offering bread and filled water up constantly. Once we had ordered our meal, we were given tiny espresso cups which contained some sort of soup/broth, to be honest this tasted of Campbells cream of chicken soup, this was followed by crab ravioli, this consisted of about three squares of ravioli filled with really nice fresh crab, the starter was covered in some sort of strange froth which looked like snow!! Presentation and colour very bland, then had maincourse which had some totally fancy name such as Poulet Noir etc. etc. This dish was awful and consisted of a stringy dry chicken breast, some shavings on top which I presume was truffle but did not taste of anything, some sort of tortellinis (two) which had a weird almost chemical taste and one square bit of potato, again this dish had no colour at all to it eg. no vegetables or garnish, the dish was also lukewarm. My partner had venison which he said was ok, you can't really go wrong when cooking venison. The bill averaged about £80 per person with wine. I can therefore conclude that I will not be back to this restaurant and will not recommend it to others. I can do so much better myself.
