Tsunami (West End)
The menu is creative and fresh, you have to applaud that. But it doesn't really work. Some of the dishes were really oily which spoiled their taste. They are trying to serve you something gourmet and it just disappoints. The service is friendly but they don't really know what they are serving. My white wine was warm and the deco they've chosen seems impossible to keep clean (don't look too closely at the walls). Interesting once but not twice.

Number Twelve
I don't understand the negative comments about this restaurant. I found the service to be excellent and the food a real treat. I'm rather fussy about meat and was very impressed by the starter : thin slices of very tender cold duck with citrus fruits. It was delicious. My main was the pumpkin risotto : one of the best I've tasted, very light, tasty and al dente. House wine was good as well as the Cognac to finish the meal. My friend had a steamed sea bass, fresh and well cooked. And the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, calm and cosy. So I highly recommend it. It's not over priced, and quite reasonable compared to more fashionable restaurants.
