Little Bay (Croydon)
Was recommended to visit this place for a cheap alternative to your brasserie type restaurant but keeping the quality of the food... it didn't disapoint!!
First impressions of the place were that there's a restaurant in a building that I've drove past many of times and never knew a restaurant could have been in there. On the inside we were really suprised with the decor, it was a bit surreal but if you're going to go to this restaurant get a booth!! I can't really explain the decor but it's different and quirky, and me and my partner liked it!!
I had cured salmon on a bed of lettuce, beetroot and orange... It was gorgeous!! My partner had prawns in a batter like coating with a chilli mayonaise... that was lovely!!
For our mains I had the lamb steak with chilli potatoes and my partner had a steak with some creamy sauce. Both were really fantastic!! my lamb was medium rare and cooked to perfection!! Really tasty with the mint buttery sauce, the potatoes were just new potatoes with chilli flakes but still really nice!! My partner has her steak well done but the meat still managed to melt in your mouth and was a real treat!!
I had a chocolate brownie desert with ice cream and my partner had a vanilla cheesecake and both were really nice!!
I would definately recommend this place!! it was so good we're going to go back there for sure!! Service was first class, food top notch and the atmosphere nice and chilled!!
Can't go wrong 2x 3course meals, a bottle of beer, a bottle of rose and 2x baileys for under £60!!

My partner and I decided to go for a meal here as a break from our duties as parents for the night and what a place to get away from it all.
The setting of the place is really well done in traditional morrocan decor. You'd never guess that the streets of London is on the other side of the door once you're in side the restaurant.
The food was nice although it wasn't great considering the price and the portions were quite small but the beef as a starter was unlike any other beef I'd tasted before, it was delicous!!
The service was good with some very easy on the eye waitresses providing the service and as for the belly dancers.....My partner had to give me a few kicks in the shins and digs in the ribs for lingering gazes.
Overall this is a marvelous place to go to just to get away from it all on it's own merit but as for food.....slightly disapointed as the main meal I had I could have cooked it at home for under a fiver and done a better job (Lamb shoulder, chicken thigh and plain couscos) as well as my partners mixed grill.
